Their design, materials, manufacturing and technology all reflect Rosemount’s enviromental awareness. Rosemount designs their products to be easy to reconfigure. This reduces the need to replace parts that “no longer fit” your needs. With Rosemount’s VELOCITY line, you can make incremental height changes without having to replace and store the “wrong height” panels and trim. Their centerline-modular design also fits more people into the same space. This reduces the amount of floor space required to productively and safely accommodate a given number of people.

Going Green in the Office

reduce, recycle, re-useReduce, recycle, re-use. That’s the theme for a growing number of our manufacturers. Trendway Corporation has been working for the past 10 years to improve their environmental performance, reducing the impact of their manufacturing operations and increasing both the recyclability and re-usability of their furniture. Trendway prides itself in having the greenest plant in the business. Their story is told here. Professional designers and environmental planners can find Trendway’s response to the HIXSON sustainable design questionnaire that was filed as a part of the GREENGUARD certification process.

A second part of being a truely green product involves maximizing the overall life expectancy of each piece that is put in use. That raises the usual questions of durability that can be achieved by careful manufacturing using quality materials. But there is more to a long useful life. Office furniture and even walls must be changeable to accommodate the changing needs of the organization. Trendwall movable wall systems have provided 95% and better reusability.
