Echo Systems remanufactured Haworth workstations
Echo Systems is RSI’s recycled modular office furniture system. It is manufactured using a combination of new and recycled content. The recycled content, which averages about 70% of the total content, consists primarily of modular furniture parts originally manufactured by Haworth®, Inc. and fabric milled from recycled fabrics and plastics.

As “Green” as office furniture can be

  • Recycled Steel. Echo Systems uses an average of 70% post consumer recycled steel parts
  • FSC Certified. Wood components are available with FSC-certified material
  • Recycled Fabric raw materials. Panels are available in 100% recycled-content fabric.

Every year RSI saves over 1,000 tons of modular office furniture from going to landfills by shipping it to their manufacturing facility where it is recycled in the making of their Echo Systems product. This is enough old office furniture to fill 200 semi truck trailers and would consume a landfill space the size of several football fields. In addition, they use environmentally friendly materials in their manufacturing process and recycle or reuse a high percentage of their packaging materials.
